• TOKİ Manisa Soma 300-Bed State Hospita

The 300-bed state hospital in Soma District, Manisa, completed by Oraka Group, has officially started serving patients. The TOKİ Manisa Soma 300-Bed State Hospital is scheduled to open tomorrow.

Constructed by the Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKİ), the Soma State Hospital is located on a 120-decare plot with a total of 49,000 m² of indoor space. As the most modern hospital in the region, it features 96 single rooms, 98 double rooms, 14 suite patient rooms, and 30 adult rooms. Equipped with waiting areas, patient lounges, and a number system, the hospital offers a modern service environment.

The hospital includes 13 fully equipped operating theaters where all surgeries, including open-heart surgery, can be performed. Maternity beds are designed to convert into delivery tables, allowing mothers to give birth in the same room without needing to move and to rest with their newborns afterward.

Given its location in a mining area, Soma State Hospital holds special significance for miners. The bronchoscopy unit, recently put into service, is particularly important for frequent lung health monitoring of workers in the mining sector.

H. Tuncay Altunsu, Chairman of Oraka Group, which has completed 20 years in the industry, emphasized that Soma State Hospital will play a crucial role in healthcare services for Soma and its surroundings, noting that the hospital offers comfort comparable to a hotel.

The official inauguration ceremony of Soma State Hospital will be held on Friday, February 24, with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presiding over the collective opening.
